Hello Everyone,

WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! We made it! Already at the 20 week mark! Crazy to think that I am already that far into my mission! It really doesn't feel that long. A mission really does go fast. I will say though that it isnt easy. If anyone tells you that a mission is easy then they are either lying or they did not try at all on their mission. A mission is THE best decision you can ever make, besides your eternal companion. I am so thankful that I decided to serve a mission! No major changes in my area, just lots of contacting and teaching.  Saturday and Sunday though, let me tell you...THEY WERE SO AWESOME!!!! On Saturday we went to the Accra Temple for the ward temple trip with the young single adults. We got to do baptisms and confirmations. I actually got to be the person who does the baptizing and confirming.  After that we went to the mission office, it was very nice in there. Then we got a great surprise, council for the group from President Heid. We also got to see
Sis. Heid for a few minutes.  After that we each got personal interviews with Pres. Heid, it was super awesome! Then we got to eat KFC and went to watch Conference. We only got to see the morning sessions, but they were awesome! That was really all for this week! I love you all so much!

Hello everyone!!

I hope that all of you had a good week. My week was pretty good. I got to know my companion, Elder Allen better. He is from Piute County, Utah and has been on his mission for 9 months. He comes from a family of 4 kids, 2 brothers and 1 sister.  He is the youngest. We had a really good week in the fact that our numbers grew exponentially! It was really awesome to see. We also had baptisms on Sunday. I ended up baptizing both investigators on Easter Sunday! They weren't our investigators but I knew the people getting baptized. Their names are Sunday and Chica, two brothers in their twenties.  They are the only members in their family.  It was really neat to finally baptize someone, to know that you helped them enter into the gate that leads to eternal life. Not much else new going on here, just still livin' in Africa tryin' to teach the Gospel. Our apartment is actually really fun. The other Elder that came at transfers is Elder Loveridge. He is from Zimbabwe, just like Elder George! They were actually in the same zone! We all get along great! Well that is all I have for this week. I really love you all so much. Keep being awesome! Pronto!!

Yes I just said hello in Italian!! One of our investigators speaks fluent Italian. It is really cool!! So this week was a good week. We found an investigator who might be really serious. His name is Elvis. He is the first investigator that we have had that has actually read the pamphlet and has had questions for us. It was really awesome to see!! We are still teaching Bro. Theodore and are going to extend him another baptismal date. Please really keep him in your prayers. I fear that if he doesn't get baptized now he may forever be in the investigator pool. We are also still teaching Bro. Rein. He is the one fluent in Italian. He spent many years there. His story truly is amazing. Please keep him in your prayers as well. He is ready, he just has to come to church. Oh yeah some other big news...I AM GETTING A NEW COMPANION!!! It is a really weird feeling. His name is Elder Allen. We found out Saturday night that Elder Sam and Elder Kohler are leaving. It will be extremely weird without them, especially Elder Kohler.  We had so many bro moments. I do know that no matter what, we will always be friends and that we will stay in touch. I am still in the same area so that hasn't changed. I will be the senior companion until Elder Allen gets to know the area, then he will be in charge.  We will still have a foursome in the apartment, so that will be nice.  For P-day today we got together with the Ashaiman zone.  We got to watch The Legend of Johnny Lingo and played some football.  I really liked the movie.  I had never seen it, or the original Johnny Lingo, its a really good story. I want to leave my testimony with you.  I bear my solemn testimony that this church is true, the Gospel is true, Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet that leads and guides us today, and that the priesthood was truly restored through Joseph and that it will never be taken off the Earth until Christ comes again at that great and dreadful day. The adversary will do all he can to make us give up and quit at whatever we are doing. He has done it to many people. He even tried to do it to me. He tried to stop me from acquiring all that I want in this life but, Heavenly Father showed me that if I am faithful and true to the Gospel He will give me all that I want and more. I have an unshakable testimony of this Gospel and everything else I have said. Never give up, no matter what. As President Hinkley always said,"Don't worry, it will all work out". I love you all and hope you have a good week.

Well hello everyone!!!!

Sorry that this is a day late. There is a good reason for it. Yesterday we got to see and listen to Elder Ronald A Rasband, from the Quorum of the 12 Apostles, and have p-day today!! It truly was amazing to hear in person from an apostle of the Lord. His council was amazing and it felt like my spiritual batteries were recharged!!! We went into central Accra, right next to the Ghana Temple for the meeting. All of the missionaries got to shake his hand, it was a great experience!  Last week was pretty good in my area.  We are teaching a man named Abraham. He owns a small barber salon. He is a pretty cool guy. He wants to learn the Gospel so that is really great. He hasn't come to church yet but we are working with him. We also have gotten some referrals as of late so we are hoping that something comes out of those. Also cant believe that it has been 4 MONTHS since I left!! That is so crazy. It really doesn't feel like 4 months, but I guess it is!! I know that the Gospel is true and that everything happens for a reason. I know that we have a prophet of God that leads and guides us today!! I love you all so much!!

P.S. I would love to get letters from everyone!! It would be really nice to hear and write back to you!!

Hey everyone!!

I hope that everyone had a good week. Our week was very interesting to say the least. On Tuesday we had a huge dust storm and then after that it rained for a couple hours and it rained HARD. Finally some relief from all the dust! Unfortunately the rain made it even more humid (like that is even possible) and as a bonus it has been the hottest since I got here.  After we got back to the apartment we found that we had no power. That continued until Friday.  We finally got it fixed Saturday morning. Something was wrong with the electrical junction box, but it is all good now. On Wednesday we had to go to Accra to the temple site to do a computer class. It was for Elder Sam and some other missionaries. Then Saturday it rained again. No where near as long this time though. Proselyting efforts were good this week. We had a few members present at some of the lessons we taught this week, so that was really good. It is slow work but it is moving along so, no complaints here. Although on the really hot days you really dont want to go out, but ya do anyways! I hope that everyone has a good week. How is everyone doing?!

I hope that everyone has had a good week and that you are all doing well. Not much went on this week. We are having good success finding and teaching investigators.  Everyone is progressing, but still working on setting baptismal dates.  The only thing really notable is that I went on exchanges with Elder Omokoh. He was going to do a baptismal interview for the Sisters.  While I was on splits with Elder Omokoh we saw a car crash right in front of us.  It reminded me a little bit of NASCAR :-). I also got to eat some shawarma (its like a gyro) and it was awesome! Other than that not much happened.It was still a good week though. It is hard to believe that tomorrow is a new month. Where did January and February go?! It is really crazy! I am so happy about all that has been going on in the family (Abe's baptism, Sydnee and Landon's sealing and Tucker's engagement) and I am so proud of all who were involved. Many wonderful blessings will follow you after this important and life changing decision. I wish I could have been there to see it but, I got my own important work to do. The Lord's work of missionary work. Unfortunately Bro. Theodore did not get baptized but, I know that eventually he will. We have a few investigators that might be serious but we are not sure yet. Hey everyone!!

I hope that you are all doing well and that you had a good week. My week was pretty good. We taught some lessons and the most investigators came to church that we have ever had so far! 4 came! It was so awesome. We had planned on a baptism for Bro. Theodore this coming week but we arent sure if it is going to happen. We hope it does but we arent sure. Let me talk about my area a little bit. In Ashaley Botwe it is a lot of houses, terrible dirt roads and lots of little shops. In a way it is a nice area. The weird thing about houses here is that they dont look good on the outside but the inside is actually really clean and nice. It is super weird to see. I would kill for some nice roads to ride my bike on though. That would be nice. Our really serious investigator is Bro. Theodore and he is the one we arent sure is getting baptized this week. He will eventually get baptized but we arent sure when. It is a little frustrating, but such is the life of a missionary. Today for P-day we got to meet with the Christianborg zone in Adenta. (Adenta is part of the city of Accra).  We played futbol and just socialized, it was nice.  I love this work so much and I know it is true. That is really all I have for this week.
