June 12, 2017

Hey everyone!!

How is everyone? I hope that you are all doing well and that all is good. I am doing great! I am actually in a new area as I am writing this so there will be no pictures this time. This last week in Kpone was a decent one. We didn't find a lot of investigators but we did get a lot of good teaching done so we were really excited about that.

We were able to say goodbye to a lot of people so that was kind of neat. Overall I am just so thankful for the time I had in Kpone. I really am going to miss it. My new area is Teshie, which is a suburb in the capital, Accra. It is not far too from the mission home. My new companion is Elder Eduok from Nigeria. I know that we will make a great companionship and do great things. Our apartment is in Adjorman, but we ride our bikes every day to get to our area. Also I am a DL (district leader) again. I am in a 4 man apartment and am over 4 other companionships as well, so a lot more than last time.

It is hard to believe that I have under 5 months left. It feels so strange that it has gone this fast. I really did not think that it would, but here we are. I know that the church is true and that missionary work is of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith is the one that holds the keys for this dispensation. I love all of you! Have a great week!

Hey everyone!!

How are all of you?! I hope that you are doing well. I am doing ok. We had a pretty rough week. The one bright spot was getting another interview with President Heid and getting to go to the temple. I thought my last interview was going to be it, but I was blessed to meet with Pres. Heid one more time. That really made this week good. We also went to Ashaiman and had a big multi-zone activity. It was great seeing everyone and I had a great time. I also have a small bone bruise on my knee, but it is getting better. I fell on it while I was playing sports on P-day. We struggled to see success in the work this week, but we are working hard and know that our efforts will pay off eventually. At least we are really getting a good teaching pool, so that has been nice.

I may or may not get transferred next week, so it will be interesting to see what happens. Elder Wilkins is a great guy and I know he will be an awesome missionary. I know that the Church is true and that the Gospel is true. Hold to the rod and you will never go astray. I hope you all have a good week!

May 22 and 29, 2017

Hey everyone!!

I hope that you all have been well! I have been trying to survive. The last week and a half wasn't my best. I finally recovered from my illness only to have food poisoning on Sunday night and Monday morning. That pretty much took out the entire week. Plus a couple rainstorms destroyed all of our proselyting efforts, so it made for a trying week. I am doing good now and we are hoping to have a much better week. That is pretty much what has happened recently. Nothing like a few trials to make you appreciate the good times! On Saturday, I burned some of my clothes for my 18 month mark, so that was cool. I wish I had more to say, but that about sums it up. I hope that you all have a good week!

May 1, 8, 15, and half of 22, 2017

Hey eveyone!!!

How are all of you?! I really hope that you are doing well. I am doing great! Sorry that this is a little off timing right now, I am actually at the mission home and it is 10 at night! We just finished going through a temple session so it has been a pretty good day! We also were interviewed by President Heid. It was our last time too, since Pres. Heid will be going home on July 1st. It was a really good interview. We have had some interesting last few weeks. The work has actually been going really good. We have been finding lots of new people so we have been seeing some results from the work we have been putting in. We are still just trying to get people to church, so please keep praying for us!

Sadly we lost one of our little bundles of joy at home. We lost our grey cat Smokey at the beginning of May so that took it out of me for a couple of days, but the bright side was the realization of eternal principles. I truly love the Gospel so much. Mothers Day was so wonderful. I was so happy that I got to video chat with my parents. It is really strange to think that that was my last call home. It just doesn't seem possible. It is hard to believe that I will be home in 6 months!! I can't wait to see all of the changes when I get home and I can't wait to see all of you. I am so thankful for the time I have had and still have to serve a mission. I am so thankful to be a servant of the Lord. I know that the Church is true and that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel in this the Dispensation of the Fulness of Times. I truly know that we are in the last days. I hope that you all have a good week. I love you all.
